After a 3 year teaching training course at Rolle College, Exmouth, I taught in the modern languages department of Exmouth Secondary School for 4 years. After that I moved to France and taught English for the Chamber of Commerce in Colmar. As well as teaching young learners and adults, there I was also president of the English Association of Colmar for one year. In my spare time I played in professional jazz and folk bands. On my return to Britain, I studied at Edinburgh university and gained my RSA diploma in English teaching. Since then I have taught full-time in British Council accredited schools in Devon and have acquired experience in a range of teaching enviroments. I enjoy keeping up with modern innovations in English and working with Mountlands' enthusiastic team of teachers is a great pleasure.
