What to expect when you come to Exmouth and the UK.

So you are coming to Exmouth, we look forward to seeing you! Here are some ideas of what to expect when you get here...

Pocket money

You will need pocket money for postcards and stamps, toiletries and drinks, and maybe a local bus pass, as well as any souvenirs you wish to buy. There is no need to bring much money. We recommend that GBP50 per week is sufficient.

If you do bring money, we suggest that you bring a small sum of money in cash (£ sterling) for the first few days, and the rest in £ sterling traveller’s cheques.

Bus pass

You may wish to buy a local bus pass.  This is not included in your course package, unless you are coming with a group, and this has been paid for by your agent beforehand.  Bus passes - ‘Megariders’ - cost £9 per week, and are available to buy on the bus.

Valuables

We strongly recommend that you bring a lockable suitcase with you, and keep your valuables and money locked away in your suitcase at all times.

You should take care of your possessions at all times. Never leave valuables unattended; do not carry large amounts of cash with you. You will not need to carry your passport around with you either so it is a good idea to leave it in your locked suitcase.

Personal belongings are left in the school building at your own risk. Mountlands Language School cannot be held responsible for the loss of any money or personal possessions during your stay in Exmouth.
