Who will teach the course?
You will be taught by our experienced English teachers.
Where are the lessons held?
Your lessons will probably be held in our main school building - 8 Rolle Street. But during July and August we also use additional teaching rooms in the town centre.
What is 'zig-zagging'?
During July and August we use a system of lessons and activities called 'zig-zagging'. This means that you will have one week of lessons in the morning, followed by afternoon activities. The following week your lessons will be in the afternoon, and you will have your activities in the morning.
How can I register and pay for a course?

Registrations will be confirmed when we have received a deposit of £100, or the full fees. Please note, full fees must be paid at least 4 weeks before the arrival date, or immediately if you are booking less than 4 weeks in advance.We will email or post a course confirmation letter as soon as we have received your payment.
Is insurance included?
No, insurance is not included in the price of the course. However, if you want Mountlands to arrange insurance for you, please contact us on english@mountlands.co.uk
Will I be tested before arrival?
All our students are sent an email with a link to an online placement test. This needs to be completed BEFORE arrival, to ensure that you are put into the right group for your lessons.
Will I get a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes, all our students get a Mountlands certificate at the end of their stay.
How far are host families from the school?
All our host families are no more than 45 minutes walk from the school, or maximum 15 minutes on the bus. The majority of our families are about a 15 minute walk.
Is the bus pass included in the price of the course?
No, if you want a local bus pass, you can buy it on the bus, or from the Tourist Information Centre in the town centre for £10 per week.
